About

Why openbigcsv.com exists

Opening a large CSV file shouldn't require an account, a data upload, or a desktop install. openbigcsv.com is a single-purpose, free tool: drop in a file, and it opens in your browser, no matter how many rows Excel or Google Sheets would choke on.

Who built it

openbigcsv.com is built and operated by Row Zero, Inc., the company behind the Row Zero spreadsheet. Row Zero is a cloud-native spreadsheet that connects live to data warehouses like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, and BigQuery, and is built to handle billion-row datasets with enterprise-grade security, including SOC 2 Type II compliance and a Zero Data Retention architecture.

We built openbigcsv.com because the first step in most "my spreadsheet crashed" stories is a CSV export that's too big for the tool that has to open it. Solving that step for free, without an account, is a useful thing on its own — and for people who need more than a one-time view of a file, Row Zero is the natural next step.

How the two products relate

  • openbigcsv.com — a free, no-account, browser-only tool for opening, searching, sorting, and exporting one CSV file at a time.
  • Row Zero — a full connected spreadsheet: pivot tables, charts, an AI agent, live warehouse connections, and collaboration, with a free plan and paid plans for individuals and teams. See pricing.

Data handling

Files opened on openbigcsv.com are parsed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to a server. See the FAQ for details, or Row Zero's Zero Data Retention architecture for how the full product handles data security.
